What is Thursday Night Light?

It is the midweek Bible study at Carisma, and the simplest thing about it is who it is for: everyone. Men, women and children, in the same building on the same night. A lot of churches split the midweek up into separate groups. This one does not.

It is a study, not a service. That means an open Bible, a passage, and a room where people can actually ask what something means. If you have never done that before, Thursday is the easiest night of the week to start.

Can I bring my children?

Yes, and that is the point rather than an exception. Thursday Night Light is meant to be a night the whole family can come to instead of splitting up across the week. If you want to know exactly how the evening works with younger children before you bring them, ask us and we will tell you plainly.

What if I do not know the Bible at all?

Then you are in the right room. Nobody is tested, nobody is put on the spot, and there is no assumed knowledge to catch you out. Bring a Bible if you have one; if you do not, there are some at the church and most people read from their phone anyway.

You also do not need to attend Carisma on a Sunday to come on a Thursday. Plenty of people meet a church midweek first and find that easier than walking into a service.

Is there anything else in the week?

Yes. Sons of Scripture is for men every other Saturday, and there is street outreach on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The calendar shows what is on this month.
